Iron Bark Web Design is a small Queensland studio. We build websites for small and medium Australian businesses — the kind of work that used to be done by your local computer-shop neighbour, except we’re good at it.
The tree, and the metaphor.
The Australian ironbark eucalypt is famously tough. Its bark is dark, deeply furrowed, and so dense that fire can’t take hold the way it does in other gums. Old ironbarks stand for a century or more — through droughts, floods, and the changes the rest of the bush can’t weather.
That felt like a fair name for what a small business needs from a website. Not a flashy thing that’s embarrassing in three years, but a tool that earns its keep, holds up, and grows with you.

Code, content, hosting, domain — all yours. We don't lock clients into our infrastructure.
Small business, mostly. Mostly.
Most of our clients are tradies, clinics, cafés, consultants, and shopfront retailers — businesses that need a strong online presence but don’t have a marketing department.
We also do work for not-for-profits and community groups at cost, because we live here too.
If you’re a 200-person enterprise with an internal IT team, we’re probably not the right fit — and we’ll say so on the first call.
